Programme 05 · Trinity Project

Food & Livelihoods Security

Sustainable livelihoods through food production and healthy living — from nutrition gardens and small grains to WASH and women's economic strengthening.

Programme description

To promote sustainable livelihoods, Trinity Project supports food security through low-cost nutrition gardens, conservation agriculture, small-grains farming, and lean-season assistance in the form of livestock and poultry production.

To further improve healthy living, the organisation promotes water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices — and expands these through community-level nutrition garden initiatives.

Despite the scale of their labour contributions, women remain economically disadvantaged in rural value chains. We support economic-strengthening activities for women farmers and assist with the establishment, rehabilitation and maintenance of community productive assets — so village economies get stronger, not thinner.
